Steven will share real stories about perseverance, leadership, and faith that shaped his journey both on and off the field. About Steven Souza Jr.
Steven attended Cascade High School in Everett, WA. Souza excelled in baseball and football at Cascade leading to a commitment to attend Washington State University on a baseball scholarship, while also playing football.
The Washington Nationals selected Souza in the 3rd round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft so he signed with the Nationals rather than attend college. Steven played for 7 different MLB organizations before retiring in July 2022.
In 2011 after a series of challenging life events, Brent Lillibridge, a friend and former major league player, invited him to attend his Church. Souza accepted, and after a period of time said he "could feel the Lord moving" and was baptized at age 22.
Steven currently works for the Tampa Bay Rays, lives with his wife and kids in Snohomish, WA.
