In this IMPACT Players study, men will learn to recognize and escape the overwhelming cultural norms that prioritize speed, materialism, technology addiction, and over-scheduled lives. Learning to lead this counter-cultural lifestyle will help men regain sanity in their lives and equip them to lead their families with purpose and peace.

  1. Session 1: An Addiction to Speed - Why are men obsessed with speed?
  2. Session 2: The Rat Race - Get off the hamster wheel and recalibrate from success to significance.
  3. Session 3: Keeping Up with the Jones's - When more is less, and less is more.
  4. Session 4: Stop Scrolling - Disconnect from your technology or disconnect from your faith, family, and friends.
  5. Session 5: Don't Be a Dope Head - Dopamine is a poor substitute for joy and satisfaction
  6. Session 6: The Straw That Broke Your Family's Back - Is your family schedule maxed or margined?
  7. Session 7: DINT (Dual Income No Time) - Counting the cost of dual incomes, side hustles, and extra hours.

Counter-Culture Living

Jesus was never hurried, annoyed, or overwhelmed by His schedule. Until the age of 30, Jesus had no platform, power or following that might suggest He would become the most influential person in human history. What would our lives look like if we followed his example?

This study invites us to explore the deep wisdom and peace that comes from embracing this quiet, unforced way of living—a way that is radically different from the values of the world around us. We must make this kind of life our ambition, because it cannot co-exist with an ambition for excess, fame, speed, and power.
